Dear brothers and sisters,
All of us play leadership roles in our lives some time or other when we influence the thinking, behaviour or development of others around us. So, as leaders in today’s world, we need to see how we can be very effective in all that we do.
The best and the most effective leadership model the world has ever witnessed is the ‘Servant Leadership’ of Jesus Christ. Therefore it follows that to be effective leaders, our mission in life should be to be more and more like Jesus in whatever we do, by fixing our eyes and ears on Jesus’ life and teachings.
The vision of Lead Like Jesus (LLJ) ministry is that someday, everywhere, everyone will know someone who is leading like Jesus. Towards this, our main goals for LLJ India ministry are to:
- Inspire and equip people across our country to follow the ‘Servant Leadership model’ of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through the ‘Encounters’ offered.
- Develop partnerships with churches, seminaries, other educational institutions and NGOs to train their people to be effective ‘Servant Leaders’.
- Offer the encounters in many local languages to reach out to the Leaders in all corners of our country.
- Train many leaders as facilitators to achieve the above goals.
I am happy to report that we have achieved a modicum of success in all the above areas, since the formation of LLJ India ministry in 2012.
So far we have conducted over 200 encounters and trained over 10,000 people. We have well over 150 trained facilitators and 10 Master facilitators to facilitate the encounters. We have also trained about 500 people through encounters in Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The feedback we have received from almost all the participants, churches and other organisations have been very good and a great encouragement to all of us.
I thank God for the LLJ ministry and its leadership in USA and India for inspiring and equipping many of our leaders as Servant leaders, which alone can bring about lasting love, joy, peace, harmony and success among our present and future generations.
